A map of everywhere you’ve been
Scratch maps and pin lists depend on remembering. Your photos don’t forget. ZikZak builds the map of everywhere you’ve been from the photos you already have – every town, every trip and every country, with the pictures to go with them.

What you get
- Every place you’ve been, from the photos taken there, each one opening as a memory with its photos and dates.
- The countries you’ve visited, lit up on the map, with your stats: countries, trips, places and distance travelled.
- Your trips in order, on a timeline you can scrub through year by year.
- Someday – the places you’d love to go. Mark them on the map, and when photos from there turn up, they come true.
How it works
- Add your photos from your phone, computer, a folder or Google Photos.
- ZikZak reads where and when each was taken and sorts them into trips from home.
- Your map fills in – and keeps growing as you add more.
Private by default
Your photos are read in your own browser. Without an account nothing leaves your device. If you create a free account and save your atlas to the cloud, the copies we keep have their camera data, including GPS, removed. A shared link is a separate, view-only copy: it rounds locations to about 1 km, leaves out your home and never shows file names. The details are in the privacy policy.

Questions
Is ZikZak free?
Yes. ZikZak is free, with no ads. You don’t need an account to make your atlas; a free account only adds a cloud copy and sharing.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Your photos are read in your browser and stay on your device, unless you choose to save your atlas to the cloud or share it. Cloud copies have GPS and other camera data removed.
Can I add places I’ve been without photos?
Places come from photos. For photos without location data you can place them on the map yourself, and places you’d love to go someday can be added from a search or with a tap on the map.
Can I show my map to friends?
Yes. With a free account you can create a view-only link. It rounds locations to about 1 km, hides your home, and you can preview exactly what visitors will see and hide places first.
